Adiabatic Floquet-Wave Expansion for the Analysis of Leaky-Wave Holograms Generating Polarized Vortex Beams

This paper presents the combination of aperture field estimation (AFE) technique and adiabatic Floquet-wave (AFW) expansion method for analysis leaky-wave holograms capable generating orbital angular momentum (OAM) vortex waves. In these formulations propagation leakage constants are theoretically estimated as a result far-zone calculated. theoretical approach significantly reduces computational complexity in such way that with large dimensions is possible low memory requirements. Isotropic anisotropic unit cells used to realize holograms, which structures show better performance control wave polarization. The designed generate beams topological charge m=2 circular polarization states microwave regime. To evaluate accuracy proposed method, results model full-wave simulations compared, good agreement.
